Recently caught up with some friends at the Thynne Road Deli. It's really not much of a deli, I suspect that's more of a side business or the cafe part has grown significantly more in their customer intake. The Deli quite small and offers a very very small selection of items. Personally I'd go with a larger organic chain or something which would offer more variety of items at better prices.Regardless the cafe is small and our big group of 6 appeared to take up the biggest table available catering us all. The breakfast menu was quite limited but offering a quality selection of feeds with a gourmet twist. The pricing wasn't too expensive and the slightly small servings adequate. The best thing about this cafe is the fact that the foods are actually cooked well and are tasty. The coffees and smoothies are also good but nothing here is considered very cheap. It is a big shame these guys know very little customer service. I have never been in a deli or a cafe whereby the attitude from staff are so cold. The girls hardly smiled much the whole time and the man behind the counter (I assumed owner) was also set the example with a neutral to grumpy look. He didn't appear to really greet, thank or acknowledge the customers and certainly didn't when he took my order.Another big negative was the prices charged on my invoice weren't the same as the menu so naturally I felt a little cheated. Will be open to coming back just for the food alone!

Ridiculously overpriced coffee and definitely not competitive for a suburban cafe or other cafes in this area. Large cappuccino = $5.90 in a cup that is not large in comparison to others. Disappointing.

Great breakfast and coffee was good also a little loud and echoed a lot considering there was only 5 people inside this was loud. I felt like I was imposing when I interrupted the guy behind the counter to order and felt a little watched while I ate so perhaps not the most friendly feeling but can't really fault the food it was great for the price point.

Reading the last few reviews I noticed one of the staff members have also posted up a review and I'm really glad that person has taken the feedback on board.Stopped by again last month because i actually enjoy the food at Thynne Road Deli whilst visiting a friend nearby.First thing I noticed was how friendly everyone was, especially the man I presumed to be the owner. He even thanked me a couple of times, I nearly fell off my chair.Definitely on the up! Good work.

Had a great lunch recently with friends, the warm beef salad was amazing as well as the Steak sandwich with tomato and onion jam. There is also a good selection of wines and craft beers and ciders. Very reasonable priced

Four generations, about 20 of us arrived for Sunday lunch, placed our orders, and woops, lights went off, power stoppage lasting entire lunchtime. What followed demonstrated the competance

Had a soy flat white and Latte and both were proclaimed fantastic. We ordered Rubens on rye and was very surprised how light they were in the bag. They need to check out the Rubens bagels at West End markets to see how it's done. This is what we were expecting as the ingredients were almost identical but the result was really disappointing with I amazing flavours. The BLT wraps looked awesome but my bottomless pit of a teenager and home stay student didn't like the sweetness of maple syrup added and nor did I or the partner when we had a bite. We weren't sure if because we used entertainment book voucher for 25% off wether we were given less filling( hope not as we have never been before and thought we would try it out instead of our local "blue poppy") but we would return only for the great coffee as the food wasn't great and overpriced. The service was fine
